Welcome to CASEAGE, the Case Builder Tool

CASEAGE is a curriculum management system where medical school cases can be created, edited, reviewed/verified and then made available for different uses. Uses include board review, test cases/questions for medical instruction, and creating cases for possible release as a publication. Cases include all standard components, including case description, metadata, case presentation through management plan. Cases also include unique information such as associating ICD-10 codes so that they can be searched, sorted, grouped and accessed in a variety of ways. CASEAGE enables the incorporation of multimedia, including sound, video and other data types in the presentation of a case. Each case includes questions, annotated answers and references. These questions are used to make the presentation of the case dynamic, as correct answers, in addition to being used for grading, are used to release other case components as the case unfolds when being used by students.

CASEAGE tracks the case author’s progress of developing and validating a case, and facilitates team feedback and interaction.

CASEAGE cases can be output and presented to other systems. In particular, cases can be presented in CREDO, and dynamically linked to patient encounter logging or used as part of curriculum presentation.
